Trabasack Xmas Newsletter and Offer
Trabasack December Newsletter - All the best from our blogs and websites

Merry Christmas Trabasaxons!
December 2014
Christmas is nearly upon us again and we’re sure you’re probably still getting together those last bits and pieces to ensure yours goes without a hitch! Whether you’re a last minute shopper or the final weeks are all about preparing those finishing touches, cooking up a storm or wrapping everything to perfection. At Trabasack HQ we’re still working hard to ensure we fulfill every order that comes in and you can still enjoy our Free UK Delivery in time for Christmas up until 9am on 22nd December so if you’ve planned to give a Trabasack as a gift, there’s still time to get one!

Our newsletter this month is a mixture of innovation and Christmas fun. We’ve got stories of innovative inventions to help children learn and play, inclusive inventions in one of America’s most innovative educational environments and some fun Christmas apps for the kids. We’d also like to take this moment to congratulate our friend and Trabasack user Brian Adcock, who won the UK Political Cartoon of the Year Award! Brian, who designed the image at the top of today’s newsletter regularly uses his Trabasack to sketch on the go.

Christmas Deal
There’s still time to bag our Christmas offer and we think it’s a good one:

All that’s left to say we hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to sharing even more with you in 2015!

Wheelchair Hacks at US Innovation Centre

Young students at the innovative US NuVu Innovation Centre turned their attention to the needs of their wheelchair user fellow student, Mohammed Sayed. With a little guidance and tuition in user-centred design the student teams came up with some fantastic creations based on Sayed’s requests, including a wheelchair propelling lever and interestingly for us - a wheelchair laptray, providing space for his computer and drink! Find out more about their creation and our thoughts here.

Stay Up Late (At Christmas!)

The work done by the guys at the charity Stay Up Late needs to be shouted about and then maybe what they do will become available around the rest of the UK. This Brighton-based organisation give people with learning disabilities the chance to get out and about in the evenings, enjoying concerts, events and all kinds of experiences which they were unable to before, often due to lack of available support. Get in touch with the team via our post if you want to get involved this Christmas and be matched to a gig buddy of your own - you can find out more here.

Gripping Aids for Children

Many disabled children with a range of conditions struggle with poor hand function or grip and Active Hands Mini Gripping Aids can help revolutionise their lives. The mini aids help hold the hand in gripping stance, allowing access to trikes, bikes and all manner of toys, as well as cups, glasses and other practical purposes. They’re a fantastic invention that we were proud to showcase on our blog and you can read all about them here.
