    dla starting work

hi, am posting on behalf of my brother, he has been on incapacity benefit for 20 plus years, following a medical by atos was deemed fit for work, zero points awarded, appealed and lost. at the moment he still receives dla, he has numerous medical conditions including depression, the thing is he feels as if he is being forced to seek employment as financially he is struggling very badly. what happens if he were to find employment, basically how would his dla be affected and how do you go about letting them know etc, thanks in advance

dla is an in or out of work benefit so it wont be affected by him working unless the work is at odds with the reasons he gets dla

as an extreme example if he got mobility awarded for not being able to walk, and now gets a job as a postman they would look at his award
