    Who has been to Paris??

Doing a bit of research here for a future possibility but any tips on how accessible le Metro is for wheelchair user?
Also where and how accessible various tourist hot spots are.
I'm already found a translation engine,....fauteuil roulant (wheelchair) desactive (disabled)....
Also any recommendations for REASONABLY priced hotel with disabled facilities...??

Never visited Paris but have stayed in the South of France near St Tropez!

    Here's a link that looks useful . . . http://www.sagetraveling.com/paris-accessibility-guide

You may have a struggle. France, in general, like many southern European countries, doesn't really 'do' disability. Certainly wheelchair users might find Paris daunting. I've been many times, but am a walker, so can't really comment. On a basic level, you will probably find ramps and accessible loos etc., where Brussels have insisted that they be provided but, other than that, a total incomprehension that a disabled person should be out at all, much less ABROAD! Add to that the fact that you're FOREIGN and DON'T SPEAK FRENCH and they will really struggle. Sorry if this sounds cynical, but I've had it all and I speak French and aren't immediately recognisable as Foreign. Good Luck or maybe Bonne Chance

On n'apprend pas aux vieux singes à faire des grimaces.

Il n'y a qu' un bonheur dans la vie, c'est d'aimer et d'être aimé.
Translates as: "There is only one happiness in life: to love and be loved."
