What is the weight of the caravan/trailer you want to tow? I know the automatic x-trail does not tow as much weight as a manual.

It says "Mass in Running Order (Kg) - 1087
Maximum Technical Permissible Laden Mass (Kg) - 1371"

    Using Parkers then the...

Citroen Grand Picasso ETG6 (115bhp) has a Braked Towing Weight of 1500kg - Parkers Link to more Stats
Nissan X-Trail XTronic has a Braked Towing Weight of 1500kg - Parkers link to more Stats

The Citroen weighs 1320kg and has a torque value of 270Nm in comparison to the Nissan which is 1540kg and puts out 320Nm.

On that basis I'd be going with the more powerful Nissan.

Just ordered the Citroen Grand Picasso etg6 exclusive +
After looking at the 7 seater X-Trail today, it really is tiny in the rear most seats. They were so low down on the floor, and a small window that the kids could hardly see out.

I'm so happy I did travel to see the 7 seater Xtrail, as I nearly ordered it yesterday based on the 5 seater.
It was a bit weird at first with the etg6, as it really feels like someone is pressing the clutch for you, but after a 2 hour test drive we knew it was the car for us.

Loving my Grand Picasso etg6. Tried it using all seven seats today and it was a doddle. Kids were fine in the back and the third row seats are the easiest thing in the world to use. The etg6 is so easy but lazy - I've got used to it very quickly. Good luck (and what colour did you get?)

Quite the same here we were torn between the two, and had the same opinions on the xtrail it was very tiny, so did go with the etg6 really cant wait for it to arrive here only 3 more weeks.
