    PIP award letter.

I have just had the brown envelope through the door. I was so nervous about opening it, but thought, looking at the envelope will not change what is inside, so I opened it. With some trepidation, I unfolded the letter.

I have been awarded Enhanced rate for both components!!!!!

Having been on DLA, (HRC and HRM) for many years, I was hopeful that I would get Enhanced rates for PIP, but was still worried sick that something would go wrong.

I am so, so relieved at the decision, I was crying.
The award is until 2018, so I can relax for a while.

Thank you to all on here for support and advice.
I really hope that others going through the process get good news soon.

    Thank you Fliss.
Yes, like you say, this is brilliant news and gives hope to others.

I am so happy right now, even though the points were lower than myself and Social Care thought, I am not bothered.
i was given 15 points for Daily Activities, (Social Care assessed me at 20 points)
I was given 16 for Mobility component, (Social care assessed me at 22 points).
Like I say thoiugh, I would not argue over a few points, I am just grateful that they made the right decision.

    Thanks Acheron.

Like most of us, I have found the whole process worrying and stressful.
But I am luckier than a lot of people as the whole thing did not take too long, about 4 months in total. Started my claim late Feb, assessed early May, decision late June, so all in all, not too bad.
