I was wondering if there are any nightclubs or nightlife events which are aimed at the disabled. I am a 25 year old man and I usually am either the only or one of two disabled people out. The event does not have to be specifically aimed at the disabled maybe there is a particular bar/club/pub(in London, on the outskirts or nearby) used. I surely cannot be the only person to have this issue so if you feel you can help or advise please do!

So let's see - there are two barriers here
- finding out where disabled people hang out
- identifying accessible inexpensive clubs and bars
- finding out if there are social clubs in London where you can meet young adults.

Have you heard of the social model of disability? If not I think you will find that it transforms your life as a disabled person for the better and will affect you for the rest of your life.

Like to repeat what lighttouch said about meetups. Good site to look on.... all kinds of groups listed there. You can search for shared interests, or put in your postcode and there WILL be something in your area!
Accessibility - planning is the key. Phone up beforehand and ask hard questions. are there steps? how many? wheres the loo?
practical stuff that you NEED to know!
It's not just London, it's national. If you're disabled and go in a pub, everyone is eager to open doors, carry beer and sit you down, even if none of it is needed and you'd rather stand, then you're completely ignored, all evening! You are also, probably, the only disabled under 75 in the place. If there is another disabled person in, they often don't want to be seen in company with disabled bretheren, which is a pity as there's strength in numbers.
