Chris was 23 years old when he during a moment of madness on a lads holiday in Magaluf and broke his neck shallow-diving. It left him paralysed, and in a wheelchair. He is single and has a full-time live-in Carer. Chris had worked for the licensed trade for 8 years before his accident, where he was Assistant Manager. Working in the licensed trade was all he knew, his Mum had ran pubs for as long as he can remember. When Chris moved into a new flat he turned to the Charity for help with specially-adapted kitchen appliances. We helped by making Chris’ life a little bit more comfortable at home, as he copes with living with disability.

Watch this video of Chris explaining how life has changed for him:

The Licensed Trade Charity (LTC) was founded over 200 years ago. Whilst the Charity has widened its remit beyond the Pub industry, to assist those working in the whole of the licensed trade, we continue to support hundreds of individuals facing a crisis with emotional and financial support through our Support and Care provision.

If you or somebody you know works or has worked in the licensed trade and could need help of the LTC then visit: http://www.supportandcare.org for more information.
