I need financial assistance to buy a washing machine ?

Hi all

I am a disabled man with several serious health issues receiving DLA Highest rate and Mobility Highest rate my problem is that my washing Machine and Tumble dryer have both packed up at the same time and I can barley afford to replace the tumble dryer myself let alone the more expensive washing machine I check freecycle.org regularly but always miss out I hate asking for financial help but I have no choice so my question is where can I turn for assistance I do not receive any other form of income except housing and council tax benefit.

My daughter recieved a one off payment to help with things when she moved to independance, just can't remember where it came from but I know I have mentioned it (with name) on here in the past.
I'm sure someone will know if not I will go through the paper work tomorrow

The DWP refused me a crisis loan for a washing machine even though I told them I have Crohn's and I didn't qualify for a budgeting loan as I was claiming ESA contribution based.

Hi Gus have you tried the crohn's and colitis uk website they have personal grants that you can apply for to help with things like washing machines haven't tried myself as my partner works so doubtful they would help me but worth a try if you need the help xx

Thanks acheron I am a member of the NACC I didn't try them because their funds are so limited.I borrowed some money from a family member to get a washing machine.
