20 metres for PIP Enhanced Mobility.

I see that the Government/DWP are not prepared to change their minds, and the proposed PIP 20 metre rule for the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component is to stay. No surprise there then. It beggars belief.

Consulation was an absoulte sham. They only did this to stop the judicial review going to court.

Is crazy, 20 metres not very long, not long at all. For many its end of Motability car.

And how do we get to a shop without transport. 20m on foot will not get you to one and at the low rate taxis are unaffordable.

No surprises then. The aim was always to get a lot of people off Diasability benefits and this is how they will do it.

Sheesh! That was some read, 62 pages of Gobbly-Gook. In other words several thousand words to say, 20m like or lump it, we are not going to change our minds no matter who says what.

The whole of this Government should hang their heads in shame. The worst thing though, is that if we get a new Government in 2015, there will be no change and it will stay at 20M.

They admit that people who can walk over 20m still have limited mobility, obliviously not enough!

Really good of Motability to do this, they don't have to. Its a decent amount of money. Perhaps its time to look at some universal benefits where very wealthy people benefit.

Now they've confirmed this wonder if loads of decisions for PIP where people have been waiting for decisions will start to be sent out. I didn't expect them to change their minds to be honest. As they were trying to reduce the budget paid out for disability claims, then something was bound to have to change in the eligibility criteria.
