    Claiming ESA but can my wife work

    Hi i'm new on here so for give me if some one as already asked this but I am claiming ESA for me and my wife and 1 child my wife is wanting to go back to work just part time is she aloud and want would it do to my ESA

    hi i'm on contribution based and not in any support group

    Hi. It will say on your decision letter which group you have been placed in. Either the support group or the Work Related Activity Group. If you are having to attend the Job Centre for regular meetings with an adviser you are probably in the Work Related Activity Group.

    hi i dont go to the job center at all so must be support group

    You want to get some professional face to face advice on this, there are far to many if's, and's & but's involved in all the circumstances that can arise for you to get any clear idea on a forum.

    my wife works part time about 20hrs a week, because she earns over 119 pounds i am not entitled to esa.

    You are obviously not on, or entitled to, (CB) Contributions Based ESA then.

    still no idea on this asked the jobcenter but the man a was talking to he did not no

    Have you followed this advice ????? If you do, ask for a benefit(s) check and explain about the wife's proposed work.
