    These dot.com companies make money by charging companies a fee, if they refuse to pay they go to the bottom of the list, if they pay they go to the top of the lsit it's, basically a con.

    Has anybody read the consultation document on the future of the Independent Living Fund (ILF).

    This document is disgusting in every way. It describes a successful and popular scheme that achieves the aims set for it and then proposes to end it because it costs money. The new policy is fund-led rather than needs-led: the notion being that when your money is spent, you can just lie in bed all day until you starve. At the same time, the government is hoping to pass off responsibility for ignoring statutory duties by making out it's up to local authorities (having deprived them of funding) I hope people take advantage of the continuing House of Lords to resist any of these changes to legislation.

    All this wrecking of people's lives to pick on 20,000 of the most dependent folk in the country; what insensitive people they are, and thats putting it lightly.
