Government replacing Trident at a cost of £100 billion while 3.7 million disabled people will lose £28.3 billion.
Just a matter of priorities for the empire.

UK has the FOURTH biggest defense budget in the world.
It is time to get real or there will be nothing to defend except the wealthy (who will be safely abroad anyway).
What empire we have not had an empire for fifty years, we signed up to a pact with American and this year they are talking about the missiles being reduced to £45 billion and like it or not if we annoyed America by refusing to stay in the defense pack they hit us a dam sight harder.
I do not agree with the nukes anyway but like it or not none of the money saved will be given to welfare, sadly we all knew these cuts were coming, the more people who came into the UK from the EU plus Asian and no jobs means these people claimed benefits and some would get health benefits.
Like it or not these cuts are no where near finished yeat
Considering the size of US,Russia and China fourth place is hard to believe. Something delusional about it.
That's calculated on the amount of active nuclear weapons a country has, Russia went down a lot once they came out of communism, China is of course still next to America but the UK would be about fourth. If your asking are we fourth with military then of course not.
But the fact is no matter how much money we saved the fact is the government are on a cuts mission and we are the ones having to suffer this.
The annual deficit (not the debt which inlcudes the bail out of the banks) has decreased allegedly but is still more than is put in the pot from taxes on an annual basis. Would defintiely agree there are a lot more cuts to come, no matter which government is in power. And if the sources which buy UK governemnt bonds get nervous and increase the interest rates then it's game over for the UK.
Most budget areas and services are seeing cuts, not just the disabled.
How can such a small country in crisis, justifiably devote so much money to defence?

As Treborc says it wouldn't matter as they wouldn't redivert any money saved from Trident or closing down the tax loop holes to any sort of benefits or services. Any money saved would go straight towards paying down the debt which is a huge burden on the country's resources. The interest we pay just now is equal to the UK's Education budget or thereabouts.
