Please help re closure of Neuro rehab in Bath

    Dear Friends,

I just created the petition "Save the excellent and irreplaceable neurological rehabilitation service at Bath's RNHRD" and wanted to ask if you could add your name too.

This campaign means a lot to me and the more support we can get behind it, the better chance we have of succeeding. You can read more and sign the petition here:

    Thank you!

P.S. Can you also take a moment to share the petition with others? It's really easy all you need to do is forward this email or share this link on Facebook or Twitter:

From my own experience and from feedback I have received from friends and family regarding my treatment at other NHS establishments, following the accident which led to my brain injury, THERE ARE NO EQUIVALENT SERVICES OFFERING COMPARABLE STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE !!!!!!!!!
Its coming up to a year since the accident and there is absolutely no specialist support locally and "Social Services" aren't even providing funding to enable me to go to local Headway meetings .
In this highly specialised area of medicine, where there already exists a huge shortfall in service provision, the closure of this fabulous unit is appalling and truly heartbreaking

Please please help by signing and sharing

    Many Thanks

If its that good thing ? why is it only getting 50 cases a year and that's been the number for some years ?

It does not see children ? where do they go ? could they not see children too ? would that help to save them ?

I am sure its as put " OFFERING COMPARABLE STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE " Any area would like to have this type service but with the cuts coming in, not much chance

even bigger famous heart units are getting the chop due to lack of funds and the fact they want even bigger units with more drs on site.

I wish you luck in saving it but its going to be a very hard fight and no easy job

You are lucky even to have a neuro rehab, our area doesn't have one. After my SAH I was kicked out with no information. I believe if I had been able to access rehab at an early stage I may not have been left so disabled.
