The Truth behind Sunday Telegraph Claims about 900,000 ESA Claimants "Dropping Out"

See the M.P.'s rebuttal of Sunday Telegraph claims below.

    http://www.rightsnet.org.uk/forums/viewthread/4666/

If they have only migrated 600,000 IB, IS and SDA Claimants since April 2011, they are well behind, as they said they would be doing around 12, 000 / week,

12,000 x 104 weeks = 1,248, 000 Claimants, and they are supposed to have finished all ESA transfers by Spring next year.

Maybe if they stopped reassessing people over and over again, they would hit their targets.

Just goes to show they can massage the figures to look how they like.
Everything that comes out of the mouths of Cabinet members regarding Welfare seems to be a pile of tripe

As a famous writer once said; "There are three types of lies, lies, damn lies and stastics". (Samuel Clemens aka Mark Twain 1835-1910) Seems he was way ahead of his time. lol

If they stopped wasting everyones' time by sending out ESA50's to people who are clearly eligible for Pension Credit - or even where they already receive PC as a couple - that might help a little!
How many of the thousands they claim have 'given up' IB claims are simply moving onto PC instead? And no doubt most of the rest will simply be claiming JSA.
    Some 'saving'.
