    Thanks all.

Getting closer to State Pension Age and decent yearly increases. (As long as they don't move the dates again, or stop the triple-lock before I get there).
I don't know everything. - But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

Just got a letter through the door, is it a birthday card?

Nope - It's the S13 notice of my rent going up as from April 4th.

Ah well, I know there will be some free beer in the pub later, maybe even a card.

Happy Birthday and thanks for all the advice you give on here. Closer to state pension age? I'm too damn close. Only a couple of weeks to go. The important thing for me is it's guaranteed. No worries about letters/interviews etc.

Ah, but don't forget that in the propaganda of the government you'll become:
'a respected elder member of society' rather than 'an undeserving benefit scrounger'.

In the words of the song - What a difference a day makes.
All the sun and the flowers where there used to be rain.

Oops, my cynicism is showing again.

Just saw this Happy Belated Birthday hope you managed to have a nice one. thanks for all the advice you've given over the years. I've recently see 2 people aho are now on pension instead of esa and they say you don't physically get any better but the loss of stress when you get the pension letter is amazing so hope ages stay as they are and you get there and can enjoy that feeling take care
