    selling my car tax exempr

    hi
    my husband gets pip mobility enhanced so gets free car tax its shows as taxed till jan 22.
    we are going to sell the vehicle to a someone we know he dosent really want the person to know that he is exempt how do we get round this?
    when the person has bought the car how does it work re the tax i assume they now have to tax it

    The only way of avoiding letting the new keeper of the vehicle know you get free road tax is to change the taxation class of the vehicle back to petrol or diesel car(dvla form v70)before selling it or after selling the vehicle offer to go to the post office to tax the car yourself with dvla form v62 and the green new keeper part from the registration document(log book) with the new keepers details filled in
