    Advice for claimants in Yemen

The DWP has issued a press release about being unable to pay UK benefits or pensions to claimants in Yemen.

Really? Did this need a press release?
It makes you wonder just how many claimants of UK benefits or pensions there are there in Yemen, a country that has been in a civil war for over six years?
I don't know everything. - But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

I think there are figures published, but you have to wade through a lot of stuff to find them.

The vast majority of benefits paid abroad are in the form of State Pension.

There are in particular a lot of pensioners who have retired to Spain, the South of France, etc. and still get a UK pension.
