Whats the best way of scanning documents please?

With a scanner connected to your computer.
Most printers these days will also scan, if you have a printer check the manual.

If you don't have a printer/scanner then some libraries are still open for 'digital services' for people who do not have access at home and should be able to scan things for a charge. Check with your local library, or on your council website, or there is a list here: https://www.publiclibrariesnews.com/...pen-in-england
Some Post Offies also have Printers/scanners.
In either of those cases you will need a USB stick to put the scanned file(s) onto to transfer them to your computer, the library/PO will probably be able to sell you one.

PS. For a Disabled Railcard application scanned files should be in PDF format. - But it doesn't have to be a scan, a digital photo of the documents is acceptable in JPEG format (as long as it's readable).

If you are using the mobile application site from a smartphone/tablet then only a JPEG photo is allowed.

A: If you are applying for a Disabled Persons Railcard online then you will need to submit your evidence of eligibility

Files need to be provided in JPEG or PDF format with a maximum individual file size of 4MB. If you are using the mobile site, files can only be provided in JPEG format.

PS. You can buy a brand new Printer/Scanner/Copier for under £40, it's always handy to have one.
