    Census.

I've just been doing the census and came across this question:
Do you look after, or give any help or support to, anyone because they have long-term physical or mental health conditions or illnesses, or problems related to old age?
Interestingly it doesn't say what kind of help, just "any help or support", so does helping others on here count?

I pondered and decided that it does count, so answered accordingly.

Which brings up an interesting thought - can you claim Carers Allowance for 'supporting' people online?
Giving an individual mental/practical support via Skype or Zoom or even email and text messages would almost certainly count.

Helping multiple people is not realy what most people would think of CA being about, and the CA application form certainly doesn't cover supporting multiple people.
But it may qualify depending on the exact wording of the CA legislation.

That is an interesting thought Nukecad.
I've not even looked at the census yet. was leaving it until the required date but no doubt that the system will crash on that date,

I've no idea Nuke, but worth a look into it.

beau, It's really super simple & quick I did mine & will do family members on the phone with me putting info on the computer. It does annoy me when they ask you who do you want to have sex with There wasn't a box for no one until they have found a cure for at least one of my illnesses!

I hope that is an optional question if you are serious about there really being that question. Talk about an invasion of privacy.

    Yes it's a real question.

    What's your sexuality

    Straight, Gay yada yada.

Basically they are asking you who do you want to have sex with.

And yes you don't have to answer it

I should think not too. Whose business is it other than your own?
By the way, I am not trying to hide anything.

I'm not sure it is really, just an interesting thought though.

Regarding who is staying overnight and so possibly having sex:

You could always answer the question on sexuality by putting 'Other' and qualify it by saying that you are an alien from the planet Zog.

TBH the census questions are often led by what is the 'political issue' at the time.
Gender identification and race (for some reason especially travellers/gypsies) seemed to feature this time.
As did disability and inability for work; I don't remember those questions from last time but it is ten years ago.
I don't know everything. - But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

Only one person, you've obviously never been to planet Zog.
