Brown envelope moment. I also had a letter today telling me I've got £25 cold weather payment going in to my bank in the next couple of days. That's my first one![]()
Got the letter today 6th February to the 12th February a payment of £25 letter was dated the 12th very odd. Perhaps a computer software that is activated.
Be aware that they are talking (again) about changing them to White window envelopes.
https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/forums/viewthread/17043
They are even talking about having 'Important information enclosed. Please read' or 'This is not a circluar' printed on them.
Which you are going to ignore immeditately because all the advertisings crap that comes through you letterbox has that printed on the front.
(Over 50's plans advertising letters alone must have killed a couple of rain forests by now)
It shows that these things are thought up by out of date, failed, advertising 'excecutives' who took a job at the DWP.
They must spend a fortune every couple of years talking just about changing envelopes, no doubt in meetings involving an all expenses paid gourmet lunch and dinner to follow.

Thanks for the heads up Nuke,
Nah they can keep their lunch I wouldn't be able to eat it anyway![]()
I doubt it will happen anytime soon.
They must have Indiana Jones style warehouses full of brown enevlopes.
Now that's going to be a scary thought for some. (Sorry).
