I think that's the best of the worst announcements I've seen this year!

My & some of my family's GP's has also started to book people in for their flu jabs but family members was booked before this delay has been announced. I'm on a list for district nurses to do me. We shall see as I have had problems with the district nurses coming some years.

I don't understand why the army can't drive the flu vaccines where they need to go, same with food. Non food parcel delivery's have all but stopped in my area this week including small ones coming by the postman.

12-15 are going to get one dose of vaccine done through the schools. Anyone in the vulnerable group at any age will get a booster starting next week as well as anyone over 50. The jabs that are going to be used as booster jabs are Pfiser & a half dose of moderna as the moderna vaccine is stronger.

No plans to change anything else at the moment but if cases soar then some measures will be used again such as masks (which you can use now if you want) less people meeting together & work from home, all the way up to a lockdown, though that's an absolute last resort

I am hoping my hubby will be eligable although after the 2 jabs and Covid he now has some antibodies but we don't know how many. Apparently , even if antibodies are present but below a certain level folk will be given the above treatment.

Hubby has his booster booked for tomorrow, his appointment has been made for over a week now.
