District nurse hasn't had her 4th jab yet either. She said it's all gone quiet now, no info on how/who/when they will get the 4th one either. Usually they were first in the queue but they haven't heard anything.

Oh & there are another 71 monkeypox cases so that's now 179. WHO has upped it as medium risk now.

After coping through covid and all the rest, I am in pieces. Hubby passed away suddenly yesterday morning and the paramedics couldn't save him.

Had a phone call this afternoon, was someone offering me the "spring booster" in other words the 4th jab. I said yes please. she said it's very short notice but there is a nurse in my area tomorrow, can she come tomorrow. I said yes please

Again though, it isn't infection rates that matter so much as the affects of any particular infection.

Infection rates of the common cold go up in surges now and again, it doesn't matter and hardly ever gets mentioned outside of the medical proffession.

Infection rates of flu go up with new flu variants, that can matter a bit more but nobody panics. You might see a few lines about it in the press.

It's only because covid19 is still fairly new that infection rates are being so closely monitored and reported.
