The MHRA concludes positive safety profile for Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in 12- to 15-year-olds:

This is good news especially as the Indian variant is spreading fastest in schools. But as we know there is only 33% protected with one dose so they all need to be double dosed
This hasn't been widely publicised about the Indian variant and the Pfizer vaccine not being that effective against it.

Yes I agree nothing has been made of the news that Pfizer is just 33% effective against the Indian variant after one dose. I did wonder what was going on when suddenly everyone was being recalled for their second jab earlier then it came out that it's a six week gap now but it wasn't explained it's because the Indian variant is escaping much of the first Pfizer jab.
Think that's another reason why vaccine busses are turning up in some areas where everyone over 18 can queue for a jab, they are throwing everything at it
It seems the media are catching up now.

After a first dose, Pfizer jab recipients had 79 per cent antibody protection against the original strain, 50 per cent against the Alpha (Kent) variant, and only 32 per cent against the Delta (India) variant.
Everyone 18 & over can book their jab from Tomorrow morning
