Shielding advice now up:

No different to what we are having to do already. Christmas won't be a risk to us as we are always alone anyway.
Pleased we are now in tier 2, should of been there at least a month before the latest lock down.
Really pleased the Gov are putting areas in to tiers without dealing with council leaders or mayors, your in what you get given & no local numptys need comment or hold the Gov up while more people die which is what happened in some areas last time
For us nothing changed either still Christmas alone for the whole of Christmas day & Boxing day first time ever for us but I would rather that than loose a family member we are playing the long game
Edit to say all the tiers are stopping for 5 days over Christmas. It's our choice to stay alone. We will see each other in the garden on Christmas day

We are in tier 3, before this lockdown we were in tier 2. Can't understand the upgrade because our cases are dropping rapidly.
It's worked out on a few things each area
Hospitals capacity
How many cases in the over 60's
Positivity rates
How quickly cases are rising
So although your cases are dropping rapidly the over 60's the more vulnerable people could be going up, or your hospitals are still struggling or combo of any of the above. It's being reviewed every 14 days
I thought Mat Hancock said 5 reasons can't think what the 5th one is
I've had another letter from Matt Hancock today. It tell's you about the shielding advice for the new tiers that come into effect from tomorrow.
It has a page about the rules for Christmas bubbles I didn't read it because we are not doing it, my family are for life not just for Christmas
Then it also has a section about Vitamin D. If you are on the extremely vulnerable for covid 19 list then you can apply for 4 months of free vitamin D tablets which will be sent out to you starting Jan 2021. Here is the website to apply on:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/corona...d-supplements/
Here again.
There is now a new tier 4. As I type these are the areas being put into tier 4:
Kent
Buckinghamshire
Berkshire
Surrey (excluding Waverley)
The boroughs of Gosport, Havant, Portsmouth, Rother and Hastings
All 32 London boroughs and the city of London.
Bedford
Central Bedfordshire
Milton Keynes
Luton
Peterborough
Hertfordshire
Essex (excluding Colchester, Uttlesford and Tendring)
The shielding advice is being looked at again & they will have to make the guidance for shielding for tier 4 as it's just been made.
When will this nightmare end?
A household that the bottom of their garden sides onto ours don't think the rules apply to them. She is a personal trainer and is holding one to one sessions in the garden, about 8 in the morning.
Makes me so angry, we are struggling and then you get idiots like that.
No hope for combatting this virus if folk are being so pig-headed.
Yup morons.
I knew there were a lot of them around the world but never knew so many of them lived in the UK!
If Boris looses any more weight we won't see him behind the podium soon
