Good news for those who lost their SDP during Natural Migration to UC.
The High Court has today ruled that the proposed Government plans not to pay full compensation, or full ongoing Transitional Protection, to those who lost their SDP during migration is unlawful.
Everybody knew that, especially following last years court ruling, so the fact that it had to go to court for a second time just shows how the government is (not) "looking after the most vulnerable in society".

Unfortunately this is probably going to add a further delay in making these backpayments and increasing your UC, but you should now get the full amounts that you have lost restored (Eventually).
This ruling may/will also impact on the Pilot of Managed Migration.
The proposed (unlawful) compensation plans were included in the transitional regulations that need to be passed into law before the pilot can start, these regulations will now need to be changed because MP's will not pass them in the current form. (They weren't going to anyway as shown in the debate earlier this week).
PS. The DWP also seem to be changing the name 'Managed Migration' to 'Change to UC'.
(I'm sure they make these name changes deliberately to try and confuse people, and to try to confound websearches).
