    Universal Credit(yet again again)

They say that there will be a pilot trial for Universal Credit starting in July but they also say if you get severe disblement premium you wont be moved until transitional protection is in place. Does that mean they wont migrate people with SDP until Nov? Or we just dont know, its all down to the roll of the dice

nukecad has the full story but i think people who get SDP are allowed to stay on ESA untill after the results of the pilots?.
this could all change if theres a genral election of course.

As far as I know someone with SDP could be migrated to UC as part of the pilot.

The legislation passed in January only blocks 'Natural Migration' as the result of a change of circumstances, for those with SDP.
The pilot is 'Managed Migration' (without a change of circumstances) so the block would not apply.
Being Managed Migration the Transitional Protection will be in place.

TBH if they are to do a meaningful pilot study then they should be looking to include a whole range of people with different circumstances, including some of those with the SDP.

It's been announced that the pilot will be carried out in Harrogate, so it shouldn't affect you unless you live near there.
I don't know everything. - But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.
