    Wheelchair Charger help

    Hi, I've been using the battery charger supplied with my chair but it doesn't have an automatic shut off this has resulted in me over charging and frying the batteries

    I am having to buy new batteries now after ending up stranded due to bad batteries but I want to get a new charger with auto cut off

    only a problem the charger I have is 8amp but I can't find an auto cut off charger which is 8amp, they are all 2,4 or 6 amp (mainly 2 and 4) can I use a different amp as long as the voltage is the same as the batteries?

    I've only been using a wheelchair for a few months (and having fried some batteries in 3 months i think I NEED to get a new charger as ive got 3 kids so its best to charge over night so its out of the way and i can't keep an eye on it overnight) so I still am a bit clueless

    Same problem has faced by me near about two months ago. Then one of my friend suggest me to buy Buy battery Chargers for the wheelchair from Wagawoo those are well known for like Medical, Lithium Batteries and many more.
    If you are looking for the same then may also search about them.

    There is general information on charging batteries on p.24 of our factsheet on powered wheelchairs ;

    You might want to speak to suppliers of batteries. There are contact details for

    each supplier on the link below.

    I hope they can help.
