Website redirection

Just wondered if you were aware that www.yourable.com link is being redirected to an domain sale/ad site.

I can only get through to here from googling 'yourable forum' and going from there.

If you look carefully you will see that that web address is not spelt correctly for youreable. There is an 'e' missing.

yourable.com (without the 'e') is what is known as a parked web domain.
Someone has registered the domain name but has not put a website up. (Probably DLF have done it themselves).
The hosting company where the domain is registered puts advertising on these parked domains until they do get used, no point in wasting them.
(I have my own domain that I only use for emails and so if you go to my web address you see the host company advertising).

It's common practice to stop others trying to impersonate you.
Many large companies and celebs do it all the time with variants of their names to stop others registering and using them.

You see how easy it could be for someone to impersonate your organisation, one missing letter or one extra letter in the web address.

Oh yes! Sorry I didn't look at the spelling. I only type in www.yo and my browser finishes of the rest for me - I'll have to get it to recognise the correct version!

Do you not just save the forum webpage in your favourites/bookmarks?

Much quicker than typing it in every time.
