    ESA one year limit question?

    Hello everyone,

What is this I read about Employment and Support allowance only payable for one year?

I am in receipt of ESA Contribution based in the support group. I was reading that after one year on this I will be taken off it? Is this true? What would be my options? Hope someone can help.

    Thanks

    Hello,
CB ESA is for 365 days so it will end, at which point you will go onto IB ESA if you still meet all the requirements e.g. your circumstances have not changed.

What is the difference between 'CB' & 'IB', other than the name?

DW. You are right, I was going on the possibly wrong assumption that the OP had not paid enough NI contributions.
