Does any one know, How the MET office average a daily or weekly temp for the DWP this official blurb is very lacking of temps must average at at 0c or below for 7 consecutive days , but how many hours in any 24hrs period would the temp have to be at 0c or below ,for that day to get an average temp of 0c or below ? 12 or less?

I would be surprised if that was the case, if temps each day must be an Average of 0c or below than imo that would mean at least 12hrs in any 24hr period for 7 days consecutively, they i know use data from MET office weather stn's around the country provided by the METoffice

You are indeed correct Tom......sorry for posting incorrect info.

This is what gov.uk say :

"You’ll get a payment if the average temperature in your area is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees celsius or below for 7 consecutive days."

Again this is one of the odd ones where you would get it with Universal Credit with any LCW element, but need a disability (or other) premium to get it with ESA.
Another surprise where UC could actually pay something that IR ESA wouldn't.
