I've just had a strange phone call.

A woman from the jobcentre asking me when it would be 'convinent' for me to go for a WFI.

This is not normal DWP behaviour as I know it.

Ringing up to make WFI appointments when it's convinient for us? They'll be giving us tea and cakes next.

I'm in WRAG so WFIs are mandatory.
But I'm more used to a letter turning up out of the blue with a demand that I attend tomorrow or else.

It's been 17 months since my last WFI, so I've plenty to tell them about.
(Return of epilepsy, now have a disability bus pass, gallstones, oh and the small matter of having a cardiac arrest and being technically dead for 20 minutes until they got it going again).
She's going to be busy typing.

No they can't do that at a Work Focused Interview, only at a f2f Work Capability Assessment.

I'm not due a WCA until April 2018, and who knows they may even just extend it for another 2 years (again).

They've alread done that twice. The last time I got an ESA50 was so long ago I've forgotten exactly when it was,but it was definitely before I started the Work Program in November 2012.

I'd have easy grounds to get that one overturned on appeal.

(Atos haven't done WCAs since March 2015).

Guess who missed his WFI today?

"Here we go, lots of problems now." I thought.

But not a bit of it.
Rang them up, said I had missed it, and they just made a new appointment for Wednesday morning.

Only after making the new appointment did they ask why I had missed this one.

Things realy seem to have changed. (At least they have at my Jobcentre).
