I have an estate and my friend has one also..We often go out for the day, him on his electric assisted cycle and me on my scooter.Road going class 3 scooter, Prorider roadking. Hoist taken out, not much use due to room it took up, use ramps now.
Seat off and handlebars dropped and use motor on slow to get up and down ramp. Easy enough.BUT:
The seat.Captains chair type big heavy lump and takes a great deal of space up.Worst part of procedure.............
So got to thinking..and got a solution. Second hand chair from a lightweight Shoprider (all same parts as proriders) one that folds dead flat. no metal work, all plastic and foam with covers...plus a seat mechanism to bolt to it..Perfect lightweight seat that takes next to no room..............Second hand seat £25 posted, seat mechanism £15 posted.Just had 4x 12mm bolts to find.......Big seat can go live in the shed until I want it............
