is paid work disregarded for contribution to care package?

Hi.

Sorry I reposted because I accidentally closed my previous thread when trying to modify the title.

I was hoping to get on this computing course to refresh my skills and I am quadriplegic from a spinal injury.

So what I would like to know, if I was able to get a job after that, how much would I have to contribute towards my care package?

My care package is made up from the Scottish independent living fund and a direct payment from social work.

From what I have read the contribution seems to be based on savings and earnings from paid work are disregarded but I would like to know if that is the case?
