    Scooter on flight

Travelling for first time tomorrow with my mobility scooter by air.My question is at the ambulift should I remove the ignition key and put scooter in freewheel mode to prevent battery being accidently switched on or key getting lost.I am of course taking a spare key with me.TIA

Good question. I'd ask when I got there. I think I'd leave the key in to aid staff moving the scooter around - I'm sure they know what they are doing.

I seem top recall someone who flew with us had to disengage the battery leads to make it safe for the journey.

but the operatives at the airport will know as they have done this countless times :-)
