Statements were provided twice a year, though it's easy enough to check your payments are made just keep an eye on your balance it's always on your receipts. Haven't you been asked to move your account yet (to a bank/building society etc) ?, I received a letter late last year and moved mine over to the bank.

I've kept my PO account, my banks nearest branch is about 5 miles away. There's Lloyds in the main street but they're not interested in me transferring the account or opening a new one when I don't have a job!.
