Help Me Choose the Right Option?

If you could choose between these 2 options which would it be?

- Convenience Pack - Front & Rear Parking Sensors, Electric Folding Mirrors & Park Assist (Parallel Self Parking system)

- Family Pack - Power Tailgate, Sun Blinds & 240V socket

The Self Parking system automatically parallel parks your car (steering only), which means you only have to use your feet.

The Power Tailgate opens & closes your boot when you wave your foot under the rear bumper or via a press on the key-fob, which means you don't have to stretch to open & close your boot.

I've ordered my CMax with the Convenience Pack but I'm having second thoughts.
I don't really parallel park much, but when I do I have found it more of a struggle than before. This is against the fact that the boot gets opened a lot, and stretching isn't very good for me, and I don't know if I'll even be able to in the future.

The price of these packs is the same, but I can only afford one.

What would you choose?

I think you will get more out of the Convineince pack than the Family pack.

Hi Paul, I can only speak for myself but for me it would be the convinience package.Folding door mirrors are well worth having. One thought occurs, Ford fit rear parking sensors to all their motability cars free. If you are happy with rear only you may be able to re-jig the other options.
When I looked at the extras for my car I had a list of "essentials" and one of "desirables". Essentials being things like lumbar, parking sensors etc and desirables being climate control, extended strorage and high res screen etc. It was a tough choice with money a limiting factor and in all honesty if I could change things now I would add something (2 items actually and £185) and choose a different colour. Its not the end of the world but whilst you have the chance to reconsider its worth revisiting. Good luck.

After reading your help and watching several videos on the self-parking systems AND asking Auto Express their opionions, I have decided to stick with the Convenience Pack.

As to the Park Assist, it's a very good system but only worth the premium if you're planning to use it regularly - do you think you will? Have you tried it? If you are on Facebook, it's worth 'Liking' them as they answer questions pretty much instantly - I've got a very good relationship with their web editor now.
