Nukecad, I am non religious and still celebrate Christmas as I like the festivities, the present giving and the food and good will, I just don't believe in god or Jesus.

But now it has changed to where all religions take part in the holiday and if they choose to, there's no harm to it.

Sorry peeps have to disagree with you if I was invited to a jewish or buddhist festival I wouldnt expect them to water it down, Christmas is a christian celebration and I am sure any of your friends, athiest or not would enjoy the festivities regardless. If they are so anti christian they prob wouldnt be there at all.

I like fairytale too, and a lot of the classics.

I really like Otis Redding singing white Christmas too, but then again, I just love anything he sings!

Also all I want for Christmas is you. Christmas wrapping is also good and catchy. A bit of slade in there and wizard. George Michael's last Christmas is good and band aid is good and John Lennon and Yoko.

I have a playlist on my ipod for Christmas that I always put on, but I lost the wire this year to my dock and putting the tree up we used the radio on the tv, magic Christmas, they played a lot of good songs on there, so you could give it a listen and see what ones you think you would like.

Less and less folk celebrate Christmas as a religious festival each year. We certainly don't and I can only think of a handful of family and friends that do. I live in a high Muslim catchment area and we get more Christmas cards from Muslim neighbours than the rest of my neighbours. Then again the same neighbours knock on our door with food gifts during Eid.

For many Christmas has become a special Bank Holiday with a culture more based in commercialism, sentimenality, Hollywood and tradition than religion.

The song I would choose would be a tribute to this weeks' loss of Greg Lake "I believe in Father Christmas"

Wonderful song and makes it on my list. Pretty good video as well considering the date!
I'd take issue with the word "religious" tho. Possibly oimum is feeling the same. Yes there are pagan and other beliefs celebrating around the same time, but for those who believe, we celebrate Jesus's birth on the 25th December. It doesn't matter that society tries to change it and sugarcoat it, THATS the message of Christmas.
