Is there any way to delete my really dumb question that I posted and then afterwards discovered how thick I am? I couldn't find a way to delete it so I closed the thread instead.

Look under the edit tab and you can delete it from there. Took me a while to work out what to do but it does work
you can delete your OWN posts as beau says. Unfortunately only mods cab delete an entire thread. Or move it,
I think its batter to close thread than deleting. am I rite???
Just send a message with a link to your started thread and ask Admin to delete it - it's that simple.
No question is dumb if the answer may help others who don't know it.

I don't know everything. - But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

Beware, there is one way that you can delete an entire thread, by mistake, without being a mod.
If you are the Original Poster (started the thread) and you delete the first post then the entire thread gets deleted.
(It's a quirk of the vBulletin software that underpins the forum).
Safer just to close the thread to prevent any further replies.

Yeah I closed it. I found that as OP I couldn't delete my original post so the thread had to stay, but it only had my question (which was definitely dumb, but ty for the vote of confidence.)
