Can anyone recommend an accessible chalet, caravan or hotel which is near shops.
We are in Derbyshire, not really wanting to travel too far.
Maybe the coast or Hul Liverpool etc etc etc?l

Maybe somewhere near the Trafford Centre, there should be a Travel Lodge or the like nearby. What about Gateshead too?
Trafford Centre is very accessible and there are a couple of Premier Inns within the Centre grounds. All Premier Inns have fully accessible wet rooms, just make sure you book one of these. (I've had a "disabled room" at a Premier Inn booked on my behalf - this is a shower over bath with grab rails.) Parking is easy and free.
Otherwise Holiday Inn have good accessible rooms and carers are given a room free of charge. There are a couple in Manchester city centre, not far from shops but obviously not as easy as rolling down a path then around the Trafford Centre, and parking in city centre can be difficult/expensive if you end up paying overnight.
Premier Inn's are good for disability friendliness. If you have a look there is a chain that mainly caters for conferences (One near Doncaster) but this is a good few years back their food was unbelievably good, and very accessibility friendly. The other place I can suggest good food and consider due to being Near Durham and Newcastle is The Honest Lawyer, it might be listed under it's ex Best Western name but that's somewhere which does good food on site.
I'm only thinking on the food front if you are tired after a busy day, it might be better to have a good on site restaurant than having to head out. On a general note, consider Best Western hotels they are good for accessibility and service.
Thanks all.
Disabled Holidays helped out as well and we have booked a B&B in Skegness which is a large bedroom and wet room - daughters well chuffed as it was on an offer as well so much cheaper than we expected.

Thanks JD I am keeping those in mind for the future, we actually use best western Monkbar sometimes when we visit York, it's got a smashing Annex with accessible room, also the Royal York Hotel near the Railway Station in York is good for access.

Do you want to consider London, as Westfield Stratford has Holiday Inn, Premier Inn, and a Suites hotel all on the same site. This is also right next to Stratford for travel into London.
