    Manchester based peeps

    Can anyone recommend where I can hire a powered wheelchair or scooter from? I just need it for 1 day.

    Thanks for your reply. I tried them and they only hire manual ones out due to insurance.

    Shopmobility hire scooters out though and you did ask about scooters too

    Mobility smart in Garstang nr Preston hire scooters. I hired a boot scooter from them just over a year ago.

    Hi Kaff, as has been said Shopmobility Manchester is your best bet - it's usually free to use between 9.30 and 5pm.

    If you are staying in a hotel they can deliver to you for a charge. You can also hire it out overnight for a small fee.

    There are also little accessible 'Metroshuttle buses' that are cheap or free and connect the main routes together.
