    DWP calling re WCA outcome

Is it normal for DWP to call following a WCA?

My partner had a WCA less than 3 weeks ago and today I received a message saying they would be in contact in 2-3 days to discuss the outcome. He has been recently diagnosed with MS.
I'm hugely anxious about the whole thing and just wondered if they always call to discuss or if hey call when rejecting?

I had just expected a letter.

They are meant to call and discuss the decision with you, but don't always. When I was moved over from the old Incapacity Benefit to ESA they did call me and it was good news in my case as I'd been put in the ESA Support Group, so the fact they're calling doesn't imply anything about what the decision is. Hope it's good news when you get the call
