    Car insurance for carers

Hi all, I am trying to insure a vehicle for my carers to drive
The vehicle, a 52 plate Espace which I use to transport my sporting equipment, was insured in the name of my father with the provision of any driver. However this arrangement is no longer possible and I am looking to transfer ownership of the vehicle and insurance policy into the name of another person, who doesn't live at the address where the vehicle is kept. To do this we have been quoted £3000

Any thoughts, ideas would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried one of the specialist insurance companies, such as Fish? If not certainly worth a try.
No single thing can define me; not my work, not my politics, not my hobbies, not my vices and not my disability. I'm way more complex than that!

    I recommend FISH
    https://www.fishinsurance.co.uk/disa...-insurance.php

    Why choose Fish Insurance?
    • Up to 35% discount
    • Breakdown cover including homestart included as standard
    • Cover for the repair and replacement of adaptions to your car
    • If your car is stolen any settlement will take into account modifications
    • Protection for wheelchair or other mobility aids carried in your car
    • Free courtesy car or up to £700 mobility allowance if a suitable car is not available.
    • Car Insurance for Personal Assistants and Carers now available

    Who's this policy for?
Fish’s disabled motor insurance policy is designed to protect:
    • Disabled drivers and Blue Badge holders
    • Owners and drivers of wheelchair adapted vehicles (WAVs)
    • Owners and drivers of cars equipped with disabled driver aids (modifications such as hand controls, swivel seats and spinner knobs)
    • Disabled people supported by carers or personal assistants who may drive for them

They are based down the road from me so I have known about them for years, a number of the members on here use them and have nothing but praise.
