Squeaking powerchair
Hi there.
I have a salsa mini power chair thru the access to work scheme with solid tyres. In most ways it's great but after only a few months the tyres started squeaking so I contacted my supplier, and they told me this is an issue with all solid tyre power chairs, because the bolts work loose over time. I took it in, they tightened the bolts and all was well again. Then a few weeks later the squeaks started again.
This just doesn't feel right, that a £7000 power chair would develop such an annoying problem when it is less than a year old.
What should I do?
TIA

I would contact Trading Standards as it is not fit for purpose if the bolts are working loose.

If its less than a year old, it should be under warranty, but I agree with beau, squeaky bolts, shouldn't have to put up with that! Give em some stick!!

Shocked that your supplier didn't use Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 on those bolts rather than just tighten them & make some excuse.

Try some WD40 on the bolts - you can get it at any DIY store. http://www.wickes.co.uk/WD-40-Smart-...400ml/p/102733

Bolts shouldn't work loose, that is a safety issue.

Thanks for the support. I have found guarantee documentation and thats says a different company is responsible for handling faults than the company I have been dealing with so far. So I am going to contact them and take it from there.
