UC £20 uplift vote
Remember the Opposition Day Debate on removing the £20 UC uplift that was cancelled last week to make way for the Care Plan vote?
It's now been held and the result was 253 to zero vote to keep the uplift. (The government instructed Tory MPs to abstain en-block, but 4 Tory MP's did vote).
Of course an Opposition Day Debate vote isn't binding, and no doubt the government will simply ignore it.

Nuke,
when this goes to court over paying the people on legacy benefits the £20 uplift, does that mean the gov will have to pay asap, or can the gov challenge it to prolong paying out?

For legacy,
My guess is they will loose the JR, appeal, lose again, delay, try to offer a token payment, get taken back to court, lose again ........
Or I could be surprised and they lose and pay up.
I could be even more surprised and they may not lose the upcoming JR. (I can't really see that happening, but strange decisions do get made).

Thanks Nuke, I've got a more realistic view of what could happen now & how long it could be drawn out :)
